Sarah McKenna

Sarah first joined the UIC in January 2000 after a progressive career in the supported housing sector. She was converted to the UIMPROVE approach after attending Universal Improvement Skills in 1999. She embraced the approach and applied it successfully to her own work as well as acting as a Facilitator on major projects for her organisation. Following a career break, Sarah rejoined the UIC in 2010 and immediately picked up where she left off.

Sarah has worked with a wide variety of organisations at all levels. She has trained senior management teams in leadership skills in both the UK and Australia and has trained people from diverse backgrounds to become Facilitators. A particular favourite for Sarah is the facilitation of ‘real work’, including Annual Planning, Team Events and Project Kick-Starts.

She spends a lot of her time at home pretending to understand football in order to relate to her two sons. A daughter in 2007 evened the score, but early signs indicate another football fan in the making.
